Oman Fiber Optic Company was formed in 1996 by a group of Omani & Emirati (UAE) investors. The major shareholders include the Telecom Service Provider Oman Telecommunications Company S.A.O.C, Gulf Investment Company of Kuwait, Oman & Emirates Investment Holding Company and H.E.Dr. Omar Zawawi & Associates. OFO is a joint stock company and the shares are listed at Muscat Securities Market. 

At OFO, the commitment to high quality, in every sphere of activity is total. We have ISO 9001-2000 Certification by RWTUV of Germany. The plant is equipped with comprehensive mechanical and optical test equipment both for optical fiber & optical fiber cable measurements. Products are manufactured to meet and exceed international specifications and conforming to ITU-T, IEC, EN, Bellcore GR 20 & other recognized standards. OFO processing systems, adherence to quality standards and cable performance has successfully passed audits by reputed firms viz. Bureau Veritas, SGS & Siemens AG of Germany. With a view to maintaining consistent quality standards, raw materials are sourced from reputed manufacturers under long-term contract. The prime cabling material, Optical Fiber, is drawn in-house on modern draw towers under controlled conditions. The OFO design team engineers cable designs to suit custom applications in close interaction with end users and project consultants, providing a much needed technical assistance to utilities, municipalities and in small and medium enterprises.
